Farmer Apprenticeship Opportunities
Are you interested in sustainable farming, organic gardening or homesteading? Would you like to learn how to grow your own food or start your own sustainable farm? Consider apprenticing with an experienced Rowan County farmer!
This small-scale pilot program will be limited to two or three persons who are serious about implementing these practices in their own life. Apprenticeships will be 15 weeks, working and learning on the farm for 20 hours per week, or can be tailored to your needs and interests. Farmers will pay apprentices an hourly wage. Must be at least 18 years old to apply. A modest enrollment fee will be required.
If you would like to learn more about this program, there will be an interest meeting for spring 2025 apprenticeships, set at the convenience of the respondents.
